How Dock & Door Service Requests Work
A service request through this site is a phone call. The call collects what a provider needs to decide whether it can review the request; the provider then confirms everything about the actual work directly with the facility. This page expands the homepage's four-step flow so you know who is responsible for each part.
Calls to the published service line may be shared with an independent third-party provider for review. The provider — not this website — confirms whether it can accept the address, equipment, and scope, and sets its own availability, arrival window, charges, documentation, and service terms. This website does not perform repairs, dispatch technicians, or guarantee that a provider is available.
What the call collects
- Facility name, street address, municipality, and state
- Dock position number and the equipment involved (leveler, plate, door, restraint, seal, bumpers)
- What the equipment is doing, in your own words, and when it started
- Whether anything hit it, and whether a trailer is currently in the position
- Brand, model, and serial from the data tag where readable
- Your name, role, and callback number, and whether you are authorized to approve work
- Any vendor-onboarding, insurance, or site-access requirements the provider must meet
Call details can contain personal information even though there is no web form; the privacy policy describes how call data is handled.
When a request may be shared
Once the call has identified the address, the equipment, and the symptom, those details may be shared with an independent third-party provider for review. Sharing a request is not an acceptance: the provider decides whether the address, equipment, and scope fit what it can do and whether it has capacity. If it cannot review the request, you are told so; the site does not hold a second provider in reserve or promise a match.
What the provider confirms directly with you
- Its identity and business name
- Coverage for your specific address
- Capability for your equipment family and brand
- Availability and an arrival window
- Its assessment or visit charge
- A written scope and price after seeing the equipment
- Credentials, registrations, and insurance documentation — ask the provider for its certificate of insurance and any registration your facility requires
- Its service terms, warranty terms, and payment terms
Who contracts for and performs the work
The facility contracts directly with the provider. The provider performs the work under its own name, its own credentials, and its own safety procedures. This website is not a party to that contract, does not set or collect the price, and does not supervise the work.
Responsibilities by party
| Item | Responsible party |
|---|---|
| Permits and contractor registration for replacement scope | Provider (as applicant) and facility (as owner or agent); the issuing office decides applicability |
| Fire-door inspection, testing, and records | Building owner or occupant, using qualified personnel; the authority having jurisdiction confirms requirements |
| Lockout/tagout and hazardous-energy control during service | Provider's trained personnel following the manufacturer's instructions and the facility's procedures |
| Execution and quality of the repair | Provider |
| Warranty on parts and labor, if any | Provider, per its written terms |
| Accurate description of the equipment and authority to request work | Facility |
| Keeping a faulty position out of service until assessed | Facility's responsible supervisor or safety professional |
Availability is never guaranteed
Provider capacity changes daily. A request may be reviewed and declined, or reviewed and accepted with an arrival window that does not fit your operation. Saying that a position is down and that a safety concern is involved is useful information for the provider, but it is not a promised response time, and this site does not publish hours, response times, or coverage promises.
The call is the only channel
There is no form, no email address, and no chat. The published number is the entire intake.
Questions and disputes
Questions about scheduling, pricing, scope, workmanship, warranty, or invoices are handled with the provider that performed the work, under its terms. Corrections to this website's content are handled by calling the published line and stating that the call is a website correction rather than a service request; see About.

- Contact — the 30-second call script and the minimum to start
- Service guides — pick the equipment and read its scope and cost drivers
- Service area — how the address affects review
